it’s always my mum, sometimes she calls me by my brother’s name or some amalgamation of our names
sometimes she calls me by our dog’s name

My dad sometimes cycle through the names the four of us before he gets to the appropriate match or “no, you.” 

I’m glad to learn I’m not the only one this happens to

Pappa was about seven years older than his little sister and thus a third parent to her. I get called by her name a lot.

I have been Allison, Darlene, Laura, and Jon in my lifetime.  Or any of my older male cousins.

I get Veronica all the time, which is really weird cause my aunt lives half the country away from us, and has since before I was born. 

Guys…I get called the damn iguana’s name. The damn iguana.

Try getting called siblings, cousins and then the CATS names…before she goes OI Dewey cause one of mom’s nicknames for me and my sisters was Hewey Dewey and Louie….. after the duck tales gang… XD

My dad would just holler names until the one he wanted showed up.

Yup, mum mixes up my name with my older sister’s name and the other way around too. My name means “you got into trouble” and my sister’s “look you are responsible, GOT A JOB FOR YOU TO DO!”. XD
