So I need to do a lot of editing to the armor part and the hips.  Because of the structural shape of the machina body, which is what I’m using for the “mod”, I can’t push and pull the doll to the extreme that I’d need to make a totally accurate turian.  Sure, if I were willing to totally resculpt stuff or make it from scratch that’d be okay, but that would take me several more months and I’m not really willing to do that. :/   I just want a Nihlus and Garrus sitting around. <3

Most of the work is going into the body armor.  You can see in the background the reference that I made, it’s the 3d model I made to print… but it was going to be too expensive to print, so I’m just making it from paperclay and casting it instead. 

Also couldn’t make his frill as long as it is in the game.  As it stands this is the most complicated head I’ve ever made.  I had one cast where the thinner part of his side frills totally snapped when I was taking it out of the mold.  I’ve NEVER had that happen.  I ordered some TASK system resin, which is supposed to be more durable… but we’ll see I guess.

this is a junk head, btw.  I just decided to slap some paint on it.  I didn’t have real reference for Nihlus’s facepaint so it’s real half assed.  I need to get possibly smaller eyes.  Possibly.  these are 8mm but I might need 6mm if i can find them.
